Dogs occupy a special place in French society. They go everywhere. They may be seen in even the fanciest and the most exclusive French restaurants. This was a very proper chien français who seemed to have excellent table manners. I saw this dog in a chic Paris Bistro near the Louvre. No one paid any attention to a dog sitting at the table. As you can see, he was waiting patiently to place his drink order!
